The Credit System

The FTSR Credit System is a digital currency system that the league uses for transactions as opposed to real money transactions. Credits can be earned in various ways such as competing in league races, winning games, completing challenges and more. Teams use credits to purchase charters and complete periodic tasks for their team. Credits are used to pay teams and drivers for their performances as well. Drivers and teams will earn credits based on race and championship performance based on their contract terms.

Why A Credit System?
Using credits helps us keep costs low for drivers and teams within the league. Using PayPal or other forms of payment frequently not only would cost members more in terms of transaction fees, but would also cause the user to make more transactions, exposing them to more opportunities for security risks. Using credits eases the burden on the members at FTSR and also speeds up the process of payouts, transfers and all other credit transactions.

Using the credit system in the league is not only free, its easy. In each transaction, 1 credit equals $0.01. So a transaction of 2000 credits is equivalent to $20.00. This is easy to remember if you just add a decimal two places to the left for your credit total.

Credits are earned through race participation, contests and other league-related content. Credits earned can be used to purchase charters, play games and other functions on the website. Once purchased (or earned), credits have no monetary value outside of the FTSR credit system and can only be used for purchases within the system.

Payout Amounts
Each series has a different payout structure and is scaled by the series. The Cup Series pays out the most because it is the top series in the league, but also costs the most to compete in. Some series may be free or have a low charter cost. This series typically also have a lower relative payout.

Payout Types
There are several different possibly payouts for a series. Below we break down the payout type and how it is determined.

Race Payout
This payout amount is based on your finishing position of a race. This may also include bonuses for winning the pole, laps led or other accomplishments during a race.

Drivers Championship Payout
This payout amount is based on your finishing position in the drivers championship point standings at the end of the season. This may also include various bonuses.

To view the payout amounts for the various series at FTSR, visit the Fees and Payouts tab for the series in question.

Earning Credits
When a driver is signed to a team, there is a contract between a driver and team owner (See Section 4 of the rulebook for more information on this). Each contract has a percentage of payouts that a driver receives. This applies to both race and championship payouts for the duration of the contract.

Members can also earn credits by participating in games, raffles, contests, special events and more within the league.

Purchasing Credits
Members are free to purchase credits as well. Credits can be purchased by clicking on the plus sign beside your credit total at the top of the page and following the instructions there. This will direct you to PayPal to complete the transaction and then back to the website. IMPORTANT: Please make sure to allow the redirect to complete before closing or navigating away from the page to ensure a smooth and problem-free process.

Using Credits
As mentioned above, team owners primarily use credits to purchase charters for a season of racing as well as general upkeep of the team (if applicable). Credits are initially purchased and used for all transactions on the site. Drivers and teams can also use credits to enter into games under the games tab, purchase items at the store or pay for other services offered by the league. Credits have no monetary value outside of the FTSR credit system and can only be used for purchases within the system.
