FTSR MEMBERSHIP CONTRACT
In order to become part of the league, members must understand, accept and agree to abide by these 5 key principles:
1. Respect Others
Before a driver can even begin their pursuit of racing in a league, the driver must care about those around them and how their actions affect others and the league as a whole. This should always be considered when on track with others. Without this core understanding and respect of others, you will never find success in a league setting. Respect of other members, admins and the league is a requirement to continue.
2. Understand That Winning Isn't Everything
If all you care about is your race and winning, you will likely find it impossible to stay within the league. In a league setting, there are many other things more important than winning. Learning about the drivers you race with, sharing your experiences and socializing with others through discord and other forms of communication is important to growing with and becoming part of the community. How fast you are on track, how many wins you have or your percieved "skills" matter very little when looking for new league members. We are much more interested in your respect, courtesy, cleanliness, attitude, conduct on track and how well you mesh with other members of the league.
3. The Community Comes First
Successful leagues are driven by a league-before-self directive and is guided by the collective direction of the members of the league. This means that sometimes you have to make the tough choices that benefit the league as a whole over what would be best for a few drivers or yourself. If you have ever hear the term "the greater good", this is what it refers to. You must always consider what is best for the league and community in every action, both on and off the track.
4. You Must Earn Your Place
As a new driver, your number one goal must be to make a good first impression, adjust to the ways of the league and find your place within the ranks of the league. It's not the other way around. You may even need to take it easy during your first season just so you do not ruffle any feathers. The drivers that came before you built the league and come first. You are expected to respect them, learn from them and work with them to further the league. If you come in and rock the ship, do not be surprised when they throw you overboard.
5. FTSR Is A Private League
While anyone is able to apply to FTSR, we vet each driver and decide if drivers are right for the league. FTSR is a private league and we run a tight ship, epsecially when it comes to new drivers. We work hard to keep the races clean, green, respectful and fun. You will find that we take swift actions to prevent any disruptions to that. This is the way we keep the racing as it is (and likely why you are looking to race here in the first place). We reserve the right to remove anyone at anytime for any reason and will not hesitate to exercise this right to protect and preserve what we have here in the league. This is a private league and only open to those who we deem possess the needed skills and understanding to participate at this level.
